NIRAS Norway and LCA.no have entered into a strategic partnership to make it simpler and more efficient to develop Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) for companies in the Norwegian construction industry. The aim is to combine advisory services and technology so that clients gain better control of their own environmental data – and a more efficient basis for decision-making.
The partnership covers the Norwegian market and comes at a time when documentation requirements are increasing, partly through the EU Construction Products Regulation (CPR) and growing attention to transparency across value chains. The need for company-specific EPDs is therefore greater than ever.
Combining advisory services and technology
A key strength of the partnership is the combination of NIRAS’s advisory expertise and LCA.no’s technology. This gives companies the flexibility to get help developing EPDs, build internal expertise and establish their own systems for environmental documentation.

Simplifying the EPD process in practice
Through the partnership, NIRAS Norway will use LCA.no’s tool to produce EPDs for its own clients and projects. At the same time, companies with greater needs will have the opportunity to implement their own EPD Generator.
This makes it possible to:
- reduce manual work
- structure and reuse data
- produce EPDs faster and more cost-effectively
The solution also lays the groundwork for continuous improvement of products and processes – based on actual data.
