A Journey from Fashion Design to LCA.no and Sustainability
Caecilia’s path to LCA.no is filled with passion for both the environment and creativity. With a background in industrial design and web development, she joined us at LCA.no through Østfoldforskning, where the environmental significance of the projects captured her interest. “I was looking for something bigger, something that contributed to society,” she recalls. She spent her first few years working as a designer. After creating the company’s digital profile, including the logo and website, she took on a role that combined her design expertise with her passion for sustainability, focusing on customer support, training, and follow-up in their use of LCA and EPD.
A Passionate Advocate for EPD and LCA
At the core of Caecilia’s work is a deep interest in green technology and sustainability. LCA.no’s vision, to provide businesses with sustainable competitive advantage by being a world leader in environmental documentation, resonated with her. “It’s exciting to see how our work directly helps businesses achieve their sustainability goals,” says Caecilia.

Kind of A Jack of All Trades in a Rapid Growing Company
As a Customer Success Manager, Caecilia plays a varied and essential role. She acts as a bridge between customers and the technical team, ensuring that customers get the most out of LCA.no’s software. “I do a little bit of everything,” she explains. Before LCA.no had a dedicated sales team, she helped with demos and offers, all while guiding customers through the software’s functionalities, simplifying the complex world of environmental documentation. “It’s rewarding when customers realize how easy we’ve made what seems like a complex process with user-friendly software,” says Caecilia.
Customer Experiences That Brighten the Day
Through her work with customers, Caecilia has built strong relationships and helped them achieve their goals with our software, whether that’s compliance, gaining competitive advantage, or automating and simplifying business processes. One of her favorite moments is when customers have an “aha moment” during onboarding. She points out, “After the first training session, they often see how much easier the heavy work can be with our system.”
Driven by Passion, Both at Work and in Life
Caecilia’s creative energy doesn’t stop when she leaves work. She has a great interest in costume design and textiles and also enjoys gardening. “I’m passionate about sustainability in my personal life too. I love making and repairing my own things,” she tells us. These personal interests align with her professional life, where she works to make sustainability more accessible for businesses. To recharge for the workday, Caecilia finds peace in nature. “Nature is a big part of my life and creates a nice balance to a busy workday,” she says.
Building Relationships Through Openness
With customers working on the intricate tasks of LCA and EPD, trust is key. Caecilia emphasizes open communication and quick response times. “Many of our users work a lot and directly in the system, so we have to be available. I often help via chat or phone, and it’s important to be quick,” she explains. Customers turn to LCA.no to simplify environmental certifications, but the journey can still be complicated. That’s why thorough training and support are crucial, and Caecilia often collaborates with the LCA team’s experts. “Our customers come with varying levels of experience, and we have to ensure that everyone, regardless of background, can navigate the system.”
Growth and Innovation at a Fast Pace
LCA.no is growing rapidly, and no two days are the same. “We’re growing fast. Every day brings something new—new colleagues, new industries, and new product categories. I learn something new every day,” says Caecilia enthusiastically. As LCA.no continues to expand, she looks forward to new challenges and opportunities for further growth. Her colleagues also highlight her enthusiasm and consistently cheerful and positive attitude.
Fast Swimmers Float High in the Water
When asked to compare her job to a sport or hobby, Caecilia chooses swimming. “Things are moving fast here; we’re growing quickly, and demand is high. It feels like swimming. We’re swimming fast. That makes it easier to keep our heads above water,” she explains.
The Future of Environmental Documentation – Trends on the Horizon
Looking ahead, Caecilia sees exciting developments in environmental documentation. Stricter regulations and increased awareness in society will make LCA and EPD even more necessary. “Knowledge sharing and harmonization will be critical. Our tools can contribute to this. Digitalization and new visualization systems will also play a key role in making EPD results more accessible to a broader audience. We’re seeing increased use of digital tools and automation, and I’m especially excited about the potential AI has to streamline our processes,” Caecilia shares.
