A common question we receive is: “Can the EPDs developed by LCA.no be accepted as third-party verified?” The answer is yes — and here’s why.
All EPDs Follow International Standards
Every EPD developed by LCA.no complies with the relevant international standards, including ISO 14025, EN 15804, and the requirements of the applicable programme operator, such as EPD-Norway. Our LCA team handles all data collection, life cycle assessment, and documentation.
Independent Verification Ensures Compliance
To be considered third-party verified, an EPD must be reviewed by an approved, independent verifier. LCA.no works closely with certified verifiers and ensures that all required documentation is in place for a smooth and compliant verification process.
Once the LCA is complete, the EPD is submitted to a third-party verifier and subsequently to a programme operator (such as EPD-Norway) for official publication.
EPD-Norway Confirms Our Process
Our methodology has been reviewed and confirmed by EPD-Norway. This means that all EPDs developed through LCA.no can be published as third-party verified — provided they follow the relevant Product Category Rules (PCR) and undergo the formal verification procedure.

Why Third-Party Verification Matters
Third-party verification is essential for EPDs used in public procurement and for documenting climate and environmental performance in accordance with legal and industry requirements. It ensures credibility, transparency, and alignment with international standards.
