Webinar: Digital Product Passport – What does it mean for you?
mars 4 @ 13:00 - 14:00
LCA.no Academy invites you to a webinar on Digital Product Passports in collaboration with GS1 Norway and EPD-Norway.
The EU has decided to introduce Digital Product Passports (DPP). What role will reliable environmental data and open global standards play in this context?
Knut Mathisen from GS1 is responsible for the construction industry at GS1 Norway and is the leader of the Norwegian expert committee on Digital Product Passports under the direction of Standards Norway. With over 20 years of experience in digitalization across various sectors, Knut will introduce the concept of Digital Product Passports and share his thoughts on how businesses should start preparing for DPP implementation.
Håkon Hauan, CEO of EPD-Norway and President of Eco Platform, has been with the organization for the past 10 years. EPD-Norway operates as a program operator for Environmental Product Declarations (EPD) Type III in accordance with ISO 14025. The goal of the Norwegian EPD program is to guide companies in communicating product environmental performance through verified and understandable environmental declarations. Håkon will discuss how reliable environmental documentation will play a critical role in the development of DPP.
Trond Edvardsen, CEO of LCA.no, leads a world-renowned provider of verified, cloud-based environmental documentation. With over 35 years of experience in environmental documentation, LCA.no sees that norms, legal requirements, and regulations are now demanding significantly faster processes. The introduction of DPP will require the development of millions of EPDs annually. These EPDs must be verified, digitized, automated, and capable of integration with other systems.
The webinar will be recorded and distributed afterward to all registered participants. We hope to see you there!
Best regards,
The LCA.no Team
