How are EPDs from LCA.no approved as third-party verified?
A question we are often asked is: “Can the EPDs you develop be approved as third-party verified?”
The answer is yes – and here is why.
EPDs developed by LCA.no follow international standards.
All EPDs delivered through LCA.no are developed in accordance with relevant standards such as ISO 14025, EN 15804 and the program operator’s requirements – for example EPD-global.
When we develop an EPD for you, our LCA team is responsible for data collection, life cycle assessment (LCA) and documentation. Verification is carried out by an independent third party.
For an EPD to be considered third-party verified, it must be reviewed by an approved and independent verifier.
LCA.no works closely with authorized verifiers, ensuring that all required documentation for verification is complete and compliant. Once the analysis is finalized, the EPD is submitted to the verifier and subsequently forwarded to the program operator (such as EPD-global) for publication.
EPD-global has confirmed our process
LCA.no’s methodology and practice have been reviewed and confirmed by EPD-Global. This means that all EPDs developed and delivered through us can be published as third-party verified, provided they comply with the relevant Product Category Rules (PCR) and complete the official verification process.

Why is third-party verification important?
Third-party verification is essential for an EPD to be used in public procurement processes and to document climate and environmental impact in accordance with regulations. It ensures credibility, transparency and compliance with recognized industry standards.
